A blackened copper Latin cross with a laurel wreath and berries between the arms; the obverse with a leftward facing bust of Friedrich August King of Saxony, circumscribed by his name and title in German, the top arm of the cross with the Saxon crown and the bottom arm of the cross with the date 1915; the reverse the Royal Monogram of Friedrich August, and Weltkrieg (German World War) in two of the arms of the cross;
